The defibrillator at the entrance to the Fieldgate Centre is currently unavailable.
On Sunday 6th October during the afternoon it was used in an emergency and a person’s life was saved. As a matter of course it needs to be replaced. It was removed by the paramedics who attended the emergency.
The NHS are aware of the status of the defibrillator and if one is needed, call 999 and you will be directed to the nearest one (currently this would be the one located at the fire station in Kingsclere).
The Fieldgate Centre defibrillator is expected to be replaced very soon, and we will advise when it is available.
We are pleased to advise the person who was treated is recovering in Basingstoke Hospital.

Whilst we have recently installed a defibrillator outside the entrance of the Fieldgate Centre we really don’t want anyone to need it!
